Tre Bicchieri 2024. The best Nizza
Among the wines of Piedmont that we awarded the Tre Bicchieri, three are Nizza Docg, the flagship of Barbera production in the region and produced around the city of Nizza Monferrato.
The magical moment for Piedmontese wine continues. You realise that things are going well when the market forgives you even any mistakes, perhaps due more to some clumsy choices than to wrong production directions. The Piemonte wine scene continues to grind ahead even if at times it does so to the detriment of the utmost integrity of the machine; the important thing is to keep going and never stop.
Here are the 3 Nizza wines that we awarded in the Gambero Rosso Vini d'Italia 2024 guide. We go from Cipressi by Michele Chiarlo, which stands out for a range of aromas that highlight the immediacy of a fresh and crisp fruit and also has an excellent quality/price ratio, to La Cappelletta by Cascina Barisèl, which offers hints of plum and blackberry against a background of cocoa, to close with Pomorosso by Coppo, which confirms its qualities of olfactory finesse and taste balance.
