The best 2 Salice Salentino Rosso wines awarded by Gambero Rosso
Salice Salentino Cantalupi Ris. 2020
Salice Salentino Rosso Selvarossa Ris. 2020
Puglia continues to grow, both in terms of quality and awareness of this growth and the ways to achieve it. Out of the 26 Tre Bicchieri wines, 19 are of controlled designation of origin, demonstrating how the identity and typicality of the territory are increasingly important factors for the people of Puglia. Just a few years ago, regional production was fundamentally linked to the grape variety rather than the territory. The standout performers are the Primitivo from Gioia del Colle and Manduria (7 awarded wines each), but we also find excellence in Brindisi, Castel del Monte, a Terra d’Otranto, and Salice Salentino. In fact, it's precisely two labels of Salice Salentino red that we've awarded in the Gambero Rosso's 2024 Guida Vini d’Italia.
