The operation in the plans of MGM hotel group is the arrival of two important partners for the culinary offer of two brand new hotels: Nomad Restaurant and Eataly. Here’s how and when.

Gourmet dining in Las Vegas

And while all eyes are on New York city's World Trade Center where current reconstruction and renovation will include a new Eataly opening a second space besides the existing city branch, even more juicy news comes from Vegas. We'll have to wait a little longer though, as reports transpire that construction of two grand and exclusive hotel complexes will be complete in 2018. The operation is directed by the entrepreneurial endeavors of renowned hotel group in Las Vegas MGM Resorts which is eager to venture into new, important investments (there's talk of sums close to 450 million dollars). Judging by the partners called in the management of the dining offer in both hotels, the funding is striving for style. The first concept foresees the complele overhaul of the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino (including a name change) and aims to replicate the success of the NoMad Hotel in New York (also due to open a new branch in Los Angeles in the Fall of 2017). The project will involve the dynamic duo Daniel Humm and Will Guidara for the design of a space similar to the NoMad Restaurant, a side project of the masterminds behind the Eleven Madison Park. The dual operation, in fact, also includes the participation of the Sydell Group, proprietor of the NoMad brand and of other exclusive NYC hotellerie addresses, now committing to landing in Las Vegas.

Eataly in the deluxe resort

The second project, which more closely concerns Italy, is the Park MGM. The pharaonic resort borne of the partnership between MGM and Sydell with its 2,700 suites will also be housing a branch of what appears to be the biggest Eataly ever, for the joy of Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich, the first partners to have embraced Oscar Farinetti's project overseas. The billionaire B&B (Batali and Bastianich) duo has been investing in Vegas since 2007 when it chose to cater the Nevada city’s liking to Italian cuisine, importing four different dining formats in the desert: Carnevino, OTTO Enoteca e Pizzeria, B&B Ristorante and B&B Burger&Beer. After all the entrepreneurial/real estate revolution of MGM Resorts International had first started in 2009, with the massive investments in the hotel and dining sector on the Strip, and which heavily contributed to rapidly changing the face of the gambling mecca. Now NoMad and Eatlay are ready to take their seats at the card table.
