Tokyo 2020: toasting with Ferrari bubbles

Ferrari Trento is the official toast of Casa Italia Tokyo 2020 during the Olympics, which kicked off on July 23rd, 2021. The Casa Italia format is now consolidated, combining sports with the best Italy has to offer, from design to culture, from hospitality to food and wine. Equally consolidated is the collaboration with Ferrari Trento, which celebrated the victories of many Italian champions in the most important international events, from Vancouver 2010 to the recent World Ski Championships in Cortina by way of Rio 2016, without neglecting other sporting events, as most recently, Formula 1® races.

Food and wine pairing

This year, the concept of Casa Italia called “Mirabilia,” is inspired by wonder, one of the most authentic emotions and a point of contact between Italy and Japan, two cultures fascinated by magical reciprocity. Within the spaces of Mirabilia are meetings, celebrations, tears, smiles and even toasts, clinking glasses filled with the Trentino bubbles. The food and wine aspect represents, as always, a distinctive element of the Casa Italia experience: for the occasion, two chefs from Cortina––Graziano Prest of Tivoli Restaurant and Fabio Pompanin of Ristorante al Camin, in collaboration with Davide Oldani––studied a proposal paired with Ferrari Maximum Blanc de Blancs, Trentodoc that perfectly expresses the finesse and freshness of the Trentino mountain Chardonnay, as well as an invitation to fully experience the emotions, always aiming for the top, #ToTheMaximum, as athletes will surely do in these long-awaited Olympics.

“We are very proud of this collaboration that carries on the tradition of Ferrari’s great toasts in the world of sports,” commented Matteo Lunelli, President and CEO of Ferrari Trento. “Thanks also to our bubbles at Casa Italia, conviviality and the Italian art of living will be experienced at the Olympics. We are also particularly pleased that all this is happening in Japan, which has always greatly appreciated our creations and the lifestyle of our country. In the wake of the recent success of the Italian national football team, this summer we are ready to toast to another extraordinary sporting dream.”
