Presently, it is estimated that there are approximately 500-600 vacant positions for this role in the United Kingdom. "After Britain's exit from the European Union, people returned to their homes in Europe, found work there, and did not come back. If they stayed here, enough time has passed that they are now restaurant managers or directors and no longer work as sommeliers. We have no one coming in at a junior level," stated Federica Zanghirella, Vice President of the UK Sommelier Association, to The Times.

This synergy will allow association members to deepen their knowledge of Zonin wines, comprehending their history, production, and distinctive characteristics. The company not only encourages a greater number of young individuals to enter the industry but also provides many labels from its portfolio, including those from Ca' Bolani, Castello Di Albola, Rocca Di Montemassi, Oltrenero, Principi di Butera, and Masseria Altemura.
The offer will not be limited solely to the Italian territory but will also draw from the New World, featuring selections such as Barboursville (Virginia) and Dos Almas (Colchagua and Casablanca). Additionally, students will have the opportunity to taste wines distributed in the United Kingdom, such as Barolo Damilano and the South African DuToitskloof.
