Among the wines we have reviewed in the Berebene guide by Gambero Rosso for the best quality-price ratio, there are also some Metodo Classico sparkling wines. Here you will find 3 Trentodoc

Trentodoc wines remain at the top of the region, and under the "Mountain Bubbles" definition, one of Italy's most convincing sparkling wine areas is moving. These wines demonstrate their authority thanks to well-balanced dosages and (long) periods on the lees to fully express the potential these varieties can offer in terms of complexity.

Trentodoc, like all Metodo Classico sparkling wines, undergoes a double fermentation process to achieve the bubbles, the second of which takes place inside the same bottle that then arrives on our table. Making a Metodo Classico sparkling wine is complex in many ways; especially "immobilizing" the wines in the cellar for at least two years incurs costs. That's why these sparkling wines are generally more expensive than many still wines. However, in our tastings this year, we managed to find some labels that reach the shelf for less than 20 euros. We have reviewed them in the Gambero Rosso's Berebene 2024 guide, from which the list below is derived.

Trentodoc with the best quality-price ratio

The Trento Brut AlpeRegis 2019 Rotari is a classic sparkling wine with great versatility and an equally persuasive taste, a prototype of the best Trentino sparkling wine, made with Chardonnay grapes for a sparkling wine with fine bubbles, fragrant, and soft. It is appreciated for notes of lemon and brioche, with a light harmonious chalky sensation; precise on the palate, with citrus harmonies, beautiful taste depth, and long persistence. If the classic Trento sparkling wine has managed to gain visibility and markets, it is also thanks to the determination of Rotari, the sparkling wine sector of the diverse enological giant Mezzacorona.

The Trento Brut Rosé by Cesarini Sforza is a blend of Chardonnay with a balance of Pinot Noir that matures for about 25 months on the lees. The color is pale and bright, the aromas reminiscent of berries, anise, and rose. On the palate, it is rich in pulp but well supported by acidic freshness, the finish turns to sensations of orange zest and mint. A historic sparkling wine company that has recently joined the commercial strategies of Cavit, maintaining brand and processing autonomy for a diverse range of Trento wines, all with a style characterized by nervous finesse and a dense and deep taste finish.

The cuvée Trento Brut Siris Gaierhof by Maso Poli is a pure Chardonnay fragrant with white flowers and bread crust; the perlage is creamy, the sip satisfying and very fresh. The winery resembles an artistic installation, a design structure fully integrated into the rhythmic vineyard panorama suspended between the porphyritic rocks of the overlying Cembra valley, the underlying Adige valley, with the Paganella and the Brenta Dolomites in the background.
