It can only be produced in vintage form, meaning each wine must come from grapes of a single harvest. The DOC recognition arrived in 2002, followed by DOCG in 2011. According to the regulations, the vineyards must be located on hills at a minimum altitude of 250 meters above sea level.

Alta Langa sparkling wine is produced in the following types: Alta Langa Spumante DOCG, Alta Langa Spumante Riserva DOCG, Alta Langa Spumante Rosato DOCG, and Alta Langa Spumante Rosato Riserva DOCG.

The results achieved by the Alta Langa sparkling wines we propose confirm that the magical moment for Piedmontese wine continues. You know things are going well when the market forgives even potential mistakes, possibly due more to clumsy choices than incorrect production directions. Piedmontese wine continues to forge ahead, even if sometimes at the expense of the machine’s maximum integrity; the important thing is to keep moving forward and never stop. Among the territories/denominations that continue to show a positive trend is undoubtedly Alta Langa, on whose sparkling wine we focus here.

This family-owned winery is among the best Italian sparkling wine "maisons". The vineyards, located in Loazzolo, Calosso, Cossano Belbo, and Santo Stefano Belbo, have marl-limestone soils at altitudes between 300 and 550 meters. The classic sparkling wine varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, are cultivated here.
