Tre Bicchieri 2024. The best Cannonau of Sardinia
Cannonau di Sardegna Barrosu Franzisca Ris. 2020
Cannonau di Sardegna Cl. Dule 2020
Cannonau di Sardegna Perda Rubia 2020
An absolute record this year for the number of Sardinian labels that have been awarded Tre Bicchieri in the Gambero Rosso Vini d'Italia guide. The region is diverse and multi-faceted, offering wines that are born just a stone's throw from the sea, as well as in the mountains, with vineyards located above 700 metres. A diversity that also adds to the many traditional varieties, Cannonau in primis, one of the most fascinating vines in the Mediterranean, capable (potentially) of bringing to the table some of the most elegant, complex and contemporary wines of recent years.
It is truly for this reason that we will never get tired of underlining the importance of an entire redrafting of the Denomination, which is still bound to an old specification that sees the entire region listed as a single vine variety (this is also the case for Vermentino, Monica and Moscato) regardless of whether the grapes come from sandy, calcareous or granite soils, and whether they are from the plains or high hills.
