The wait is almost over: on November 14th, the Michelin Guide will announce its best restaurants in Italy (and the new stars) during the Michelin Guide Ceremony Italy at the Teatro Grande in Brescia. In the meantime, it has awarded the title of Bib Gourmand to 29 restaurants throughout Italy. The award is given to establishments that "stand out for their good quality-price ratio and offer a full menu - both for lunch and dinner - at a maximum price of about 40 euros," as stated on the Michelin Guide's website.

The Bib Gourmand restaurants in Italy, according to the Michelin Guide, are selected based on their creativity, contemporaneity, and the attention they give to the products of the region they belong to. "In these restaurants, the territory is showcased, not always in a traditional way, but always with a focus on taste, the product, and the supply chain," says Sergio Lovrinovich, Director of the MICHELIN Italy Guide. Currently, there are a total of 257 Bib Gourmand restaurants in Italy. The top regions with the highest number of Bib Gourmand restaurants are Emilia Romagna with 34, Lombardy with 29, Piedmont with 28, Tuscany with 26, and Veneto with 20.
