In verdant meadows during the summer and snow-capped peaks in winter, Alta Badia is a true nature paradise, with enchanting scenes that change colors and scents with the seasons. A beloved tourist destination for stays focused on sports, relaxation, and spirituality, it is a place steeped in history and traditions, welcoming visitors with the warmth of Ladin hospitality.

The best addresses for breakfasts, aperitifs, snacks, and coffee in Alta Badia

In bars and pastry shops in Alta Badia, one stops for a revitalizing breakfast before hitting the slopes, a slice of cake with hot chocolate perhaps after a walk, or even to enjoy tasty sandwiches with local products. You can also spend an evening with friends sipping expertly crafted cocktails or, why not, buy some good bread.

Furnaria Gasser

A pleasant outdoor space, linear interiors in wood and stone, and bright windows offering a unique panorama of these mountains. This is the calling card of Furnaria Gasser, a bakery by tradition and now also an esteemed bar and pastry shop. The original vocation is honored by a beautiful repertoire of bread (including typical specialties like Schüttelbrot, pretzels, and rolls) always made with local flours, pure mountain water from Luson, and sourdough. Also noteworthy are the leavened breakfast items and sweets (try Sacher, Linzer, the yogurt and wild berry cake), to be accompanied by carefully prepared espressos, cappuccinos, teas, infusions, and velvety hot chocolates. The selection of small pizzas and savory treats, from focaccias to the farmer's sandwich with speck and cheese, is enticing.

Glam’s

A wine bar and bistro in a very central location, in the reference square of La Villa, next to the tourist office and the "Ciasa de Cultura." At Glam’s, the shutters rise early to ensure a tasty breakfast even for early risers, supported by coffee extracted from a blend of pure Arabica and cappuccinos with velvety cream. If you want something to eat, you can count on tasty toasts and sandwiches filled with selected products, such as the Triestino (cooked ham, mustard, and horseradish) or the Badioto, with Edamer cheese and speck. The wines from the cellar and the cocktails for toasting from aperitif to after-dinner are interesting, attracting many visitors. Another location in Corvara.

I dolci di Ricky

An address to mark on your agenda for excellent breakfasts, snacks, and afternoon treats. The Wieser family's coffee-pastry shop is housed in a beautiful wooden structure with very pleasant interiors, where you can sit and enjoy the magnificent view of Sas dla Crusc through the full-height windows. The design showcase rightly enhances a varied and high-quality assortment of sweets, from exquisite croissants and krapfen to strudel, cake slices, and single portions (try the Sacher, Black Forest, and blueberry tartlet). There's also naturally leavened bread and a tempting savory offer. Coffee, cappuccinos, and a range of hot and cold drinks are up to standard. Perfect for sunny days is the outdoor area surrounded by greenery and plants.

L'Got

The quality of mixology has made L'Got one of the references in Corvara and the surrounding areas for après-ski or an aperitif after a summer excursion. From classics to more elaborate ones, the cocktails are well-conceived and presented, crafted by skilled hands with care and excellent raw materials. There's also a good selection of wines and an enticing food menu that deviates from tradition to focus on the exotic with tuna tataki, bao, and even sushi. The venue opens at 3 PM and is also a good address for an afternoon snack with a slice of cake or strudel and the coffee shop's offerings. Welcoming atmosphere in a charming square with a view of Sassongher.
