Coam got its start in 1964, selling bottled porcini mushrooms and vegetables like artichokes, peppers, eggplant etc., which are still available today under the brand name Le Conserve di Morbegno. Ten years later they began dealing in prized salmon, using the brand Scandia. Caught by hand and only delivered through the cold chain from well-equipped vessels, the fish is completely wild, as is their Mediterranean and Indian Ocean swordfish and tuna (yellow and longfin). The same is true of their Norwegian and Scottish salmon, sturgeon, lobster, crab, prawns, octopus, Trentino lake trout and Lombard lavarello lake fish. They also offer farm-raised salmon, both Scottish and Norwegian varieties, all carefully controlled. They have smoked fish, as well as raw and steamed fish, fish in oil or marinated in herbs. They also distribute fish roe (salmon, lumpfish, tuna bottarga and mullet) and offer elegant gift packaging for an unusual but always well-received gourmet present.
