Easter is already behind us. Among British hot cross buns, Italian pastiera or colomba, the holidays brought with them lots of chocolate. Eggs, for example, or even chocolate bunny: in any case, a clever way to use up all the leftovers is to make a delicious and easy chocolate mousse. Here's our recipe.
Recipe for chocolate mousse
Ingredients
200 g dark chocolate
1/2 small cup of coffee
2 eggs
200 ml cream
2 tablespoons of sugar
Chop the chocolate bar, add coffee and melt by using the bain-marie method. Let it cool. Break the eggs, separate the yolks from the whites and whisk the egg yolks with sugar. Add melted chocolate and mix well. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites, then in a separate bowl, whip the cream. Incorporate the egg whites to the chocolate mixture, then add the whipped cream. Place the mousse in a crystal cup and let it cool in the fridge for a few hours. Serve with some biscuits.
