Emanuele Rabotti, owner of the Monte Rossa estate, is the new president of the Franciacorta Consortium. He succeeds Silvano Brescianini. The decision was made by the board of directors during a meeting held on Thursday, 15 May. Rabotti will be supported by four vice-presidents: Francesca Faccoli, representing the economic group; Gualberto Ricci Curbastro, for the territory, youth and training group; Cesare Bosio, for the research and development group; and Laura Gatti, for the communication group. According to the Brescia-based regulatory body, this choice is intended to ensure representation and coherence across the main internal working groups, enhancing specific expertise and promoting an inclusive, participatory management model that meets the challenges of the sector.
Mandate objectives
Rabotti, who will lead the organisation (which includes 200 members) for the next three years, has long been active in the world of Franciacorta. He will be tasked with further strengthening the identity of the appellation, consolidating its prestige, and addressing key issues such as sustainability, innovation, and international markets. “Ideally, I accept this passing of the baton from my father, Paolo Rabotti, who in 1990 was one of the founders of the Franciacorta Consortium and its first president,” whose motto was ‘I am, if we are’. The new president aims to maintain continuity with the work carried out by the boards chaired by Brescianini.
