Antica Corte Pallavicina
Situated inside a 15th-century fortress, Antica Corte Pallavicina is a small oasis of beauty and flavor in the heart of southern Parma. Since 1990 it’s been owned by the Spigaroli family, who have renovated it in a delightful, rural-chic style. The property comprises a Michelin-starred restaurant, a charming relais, the Hostaria del Maiale, the culatello museum and centuries-old cellars where their world famous Culatelli di Zibello ages. Not far away is the Cavallino Bianco, the family restaurant where this small world of delicious flavor got its start, and the workshop where their cured meats are produced. Also situated nearby, their “agribottega” hosts white and black pigs, greenhouses, open fields where vegetables are grown, and a vineyard that once belonged to opera composer Giuseppe Verdi and which now gives rise to the grapes used in their house wines.
