Confettura extra di visciole


The visciola is a variety of wild cherry with intense, marked flavors similar to sour cherry. Brezzo's "extra" jam is made with the finest seasonal visciola cherries and cane sugar. The fruit content is exceptionally high (120%), with 120 grams of visciola cherries used to produce 100 grams of jam. Low-temperature, vacuum processing retains the product's fresh-picked, fruit flavors. An abundance of fruit pieces in the mix pleases the palate, while the use of cane sugar adds just the right touch of softness and roundness. It can be enjoyed on its own, by the spoonful, or as an ingredient in delicious tarts.
