But it’s because of its timeless charm that it competes with Capri for the supremacy as the Campania archipelago's most popular destination for VIPs and visitors from all over the world. BisBoccia

Bistro. A lovely place with outdoor seating in the old town centre, a spin-off of the historic Boccia bakery, ideal for a pit-stop with delicious sandwiches, focaccias and genuine, imaginative, quality fillings. There is no shortage of well-made dishes of the day and tasty deep-fried delights (the frittatina di pasta is addictive!).

Danì Maison

Restaurant. One of the top destinations on the island and throughout Italy, Nino Di Costanzo's restaurant deserves to be visited at least once. Trattoria. Famous spot with a sea view, with terrace, along the road from Forio to Sant'Angelo. Try the rabbit all'ischitana, the aubergine parmigiana, the many good pizzas, the panuozzo, and the seafood specialities prepared by Mario, brother of the owner Vito. The wine list is aligned.

O' Pignatello

Restaurant. A restaurnat of definite standing with a very pleasant seating area. The young kitchen brigade, headed by the talented Mario Lodato, cerates dishes that are beautiful to look at and good to eat, which capture the island’s Mediterranean soul. Bagno Ricciulillo

Restaurant. Sea-side establishment, bar and good food virtually pieds dans l'eau, run with professional and passionate demeanor by Giuseppe Mattera and family. Trattoriva Sapori Ischitani

Trattoria. A delightful place, furnished with simplicity and taste, a reliable outpost of Ischia cuisine interpreted with just the right creative twist. O’ Sole Mio

Pizzeria. The location is desirable, with a sea-facing outdoor seating area and a view of the Aragonese Castle. The menu travels on a double track: on one hand, seafood cuisine and, on the other, good pizzas, not just classic ones. Among the various toppings, the “Addor' 'e Mare” (with tomato, garlic, sautéed mussels, clams and octopus) stands out.

Umberto a mare

Restaurant. A landmark of the the island. For its location, with a wonderful view overlooking the sea. And for its cuisine, rooted in Ischia traditions and made with quality ingredients. A nice surprise is the wine cellar, with hundreds of labels, depth of vintages and options by the glass. Comfortable rooms in the nearby hotel.
