Tre Bicchieri 2020 Veneto. Environment, market and great wines

Even a region of great commercial success such as Veneto is lashed by new productive currents, apparently hidden or of lesser importance but which lay the foundations for future trends. If in terms of environmental impact wineries have been moving towards sustainability for years, a with financial repercussions but also increasingly energy saving, resources and vineyard management that contain the introduction of substances harmful in the environment, it's the very idea of wine that is often called into question.

Tre Bicchieri 2020 Veneto. A new idea of wine

The search for concentration, density and power characterizing the previous decades is seen more and more as a limit that cannot be surpassed indefinitely but rather managed to lend wines a profile mirroring its soils, vintages and the originality of cultivated vines. Emblematic in this aspect is the Valpolicella, an area that has known success thanks to the richness of the taste sensations, and that today offers wines with a more delicate and elegant profile, supported by acidity rather than alcohol and tannins.

Or the historical name in regards to bubbles, Conegliano Valdobbiadene, which is shifting its production towards the driest and least sugary versions, capable of fully convincing only if the wine production is of absolute value. Great success for the Soave denomination that once again reveals the extraordinary bond that exists between the garganega and the best territory exposures, enhanced by the work of the most sensitive producers. If the award-winning wines are as many as 6, there are many that have touched the maximum result testifying on one hand the severe selection performed, and on the other the great potential of the historical selection

Tre Bicchieri 2020 Veneto. Not just big names

Also the Euganean Hills show excellent results, thanks to interpretations that respect the Mediterranean character of the area while maintaining the finesse and elegance typical of a northern area.

And then there are the many labels scattered outside the best known denominations, Montello di Serafini and Vidotto, Cescon Treviso plain, the Fugatti brothers' Vallagarina, or Custoza of Monte del Frà and Cavalchina, a veritable puzzle where each piece not only is important, but in a different way helps to build the overall image of the Region.
