The history of the restaurant
Al 58 has its roots in 1967, when Domenico—known to all as “Chicco”—built the stilt house that still stands on the shoreline today, preserving its simple and authentically maritime aesthetic. Originally a small bar and beach club, the venue has evolved over time: in the 1980s it became a sandwich bar and later a full restaurant, gradually turning into the beating heart of a family business passed down from generation to generation.

Today, the kitchen is inspired by the passion of Rita, daughter of a fisherman, who has managed to combine knowledge of traditional recipes with a meticulous attention to detail. The dishes coming out of the kitchen speak of home-style seafood traditions: bold flavours, generous portions, rich sauces, and fish always taking centre stage. Among the classics worth mentioning are the excellent spaghetti with clams and a dry, crisp fried calamari dish made with top-quality ingredients. Daily supplies determine the variations on the menu, with first courses that change regularly depending on the market's offerings and the luck of the catch.
