From Rome to Tokyo, every restaurant by Niko Romito in Bulgari group hotels will feature a special wine list dedicated to the heroic women of Italian organic wine

A wine list entirely organic and entirely female. It is offered, in all its locations around the world and on a permanent basis by Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, at the restaurant – Niko Romito, to celebrate the talent, the vision and the commitment of those women who are helping to transform a traditionally patriarchal sector.

The list

The special wine list dedicated to the 'Heroic Women of Organic Wine', 22 female growers — all Italian — have been chosen.

After launching the project in the Milan location, and it also now in Rome, the selection of 11 producers has arrived: Francesca Balestrieri, Maria Ernesta Berucci, Elisabetta Foradori, Arianna Occhipinti, Ilaria Salvetti, Gigliola Giannetti, Antonella Pacchiarotti, Helena Lageder, Caterina Sofia Mastella Allegrini, Elena Pantaleoni and Chiara Boschis.

Subsequently, every restaurant location of Niko Romito inside the Bulgari group — Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Dubai, Paris and Bali — will host the dedicated section. A section that sits alongside the traditional offering and gives wide visibility to these small craft realities, with detailed descriptions of the producers and the wineries they represent.

From small Italian vineyards to a global audience

From North to South, the list of wines travels through Italy’s most prestigious organic vineyards, valorising the terroirs in which the wineries are shaping the future of sustainable viticulture.

The opportunity is two-fold: on one side giving clients a new vision of Italian viticulture; on the other, bringing very small, handmade wineries (some producing not more than 10,000 bottles a year) to open themselves to a global audience.

“The project will give our clients the chance to discover the companies that fight every day to assert their wines and their philosophy,” comments Niko Romito, who inaugurated the new proposal at the Rome restaurant with a dinner paired with the dishes of Lazio producer Antonella Pacchiarotti, also known as Lady Aleatico.

The project was strongly backed by Silvio Ursini, executive vice president of Bulgari: “Supporting the heroic women of organic wine reflects our values and gives us the opportunity to shine a spotlight on women having an extraordinary impact in the world of wine. We are honoured to bring their stories and their sustainable wines to a global audience.”
