Here’s Vegan Nutella, Ferrero has already registered the trademark

A novelty that will make all vegans happy, but also lactose intolerant people: Ferrero opens up to the vegetable market, starting with the legendary chocolate hazelnut spread

A Nutella for vegans. No, not an alternative to the world's most famous spreadable cream, not a cream that looks like, recalls, is similar to the Ferrero speciality. The real, authentic Nutella. That hazelnut spread that in 2024 will celebrate its 60th birthday, and that has recently become the protagonist of another novelty in the Ferrero house, Nutella croissants (frozen or sold at the bread counter of Italian supermarkets, starting in January).

Ferrero makes vegan Nutella

Nutella Plant based is the trademark registered by the company last 1 December, according to Corriere della Sera. That the offer of vegan products in the large-scale retail trade is now growing is obvious, but if even a giant like Ferrero decides to open up to the vegan market, then things are really changing. Vegan food is not, as we often hear, a passing fad: people are now approaching the table with more awareness, the new generations are attentive and open-minded, and above all, prejudice against vegan food is slowly disappearing. Plant-based Nutella will have the same logo as always, with the unmistakable black “N” initial and the rest of the name in red, and will be able to intercept not only the tastes of vegans, but also of all lactose intolerant or milk protein allergic people.
