The company was founded in 1979, on a whim of Teresio Schiavi and Giacomo Cavalli, with a group of friends, owners of small vineyards in Franciacorta. They created a single brand under which each could contribute their property. The location is lovely and the winery is on the cutting edge, producing not only Franciacorta but also a grappa line using the marc from chardonnay, pinot bianco and pinot nero, the sparkling wine cultivars.
