Celestino Gaspari’s splendid cellar is responsible for wines that exhibit a rare ability to be complete and charming from their earliest years, but also to age slowly, developing complexity and gustatory depth over time. A deep knowledge of the territory has allowed Celestino to draw on the best suited vineyard for each wine, be it in Negrar, in the heart of the Valpolicella’s Classico zone, or in Lonigo, in the nearby Berici Hills. A multifaceted portfolio ranges from wines of immediate pleasure to more characterful interpretations. 2016 gave rise to an extraordinary Amarone, a wine that despite its exuberance, manages to maintain finesse and rigor, contoured by aromas of cherry and spices, rain-soaked earth and fine herbs. In the mouth it shows the producer’s ability to manage great power with a touch of lightness and elegance. The Rêverie ’20, diametrically opposed, is a fragrant Valpolicella that stands out for its sapid, juicy palate.
