The winery is maintaining its commitment to local investments. It recently added over a hectare of new vineyards at elevations spanning 50-100 meters in the foothills of Santo Stefano di Magra, cultivated with vermentino and albarola grapes (used for the production of their Vermentino Mortedo). A new development this year is a rebranding initiative: the bottles will maintain their borgognotta style but are more robust, and the labels will depict the same landscape but have been embellished. The logo has also been updated. Intriguing hints of acacia flowers and hawthorn feature in the Mortedo '22, a wine that sneaks onto the palate offering harmony, freshness, and sapidity. Delightful in its hints of exotic fruit, the Boceda '22 has plenty of extraction and pleasant complexitya sapid drink of intense minerality. With its rich fruit and pleasant palate, the Montale '21 also delivers.
