For years, the Giuliani family's winery has been one of the most interesting in the Gioia territory. Their vineyards are situated between 200 and 450 meters of elevation in various municipalities in the Bari Murgia area, on medium-structured, limestone, karstic soils, rich in stones and mineral salts, with a thin surface layer of red soil. The wines submitted highlight a strong link with the territory, within a modern style that favors rich fruit, pleasantness and close-focused aromas. The Gioia del Colle Primitivo Lavarossa '19 fully convinced our tasters with its aromas of mulberry and wild berries, and its hints of Mediterranean scrub. The palate exhibits nice persistence and freshness, making for a long, juicy and spicy finisha pleasant, gutsy drink. The Gioia del Colle Primitivo Baronaggio Riserva '19 also proves well made, offering up hints of tapenade, dried figs, licorice and pencil lead before revealing a long, full-bodied palate characterized by nice structure and volume.
