Now that the new generation is at the helm, the winery, originally focused on white wines exclusively from pigato, is embracing a shift towards reds. The change in direction includes a new 1.8-hectare vineyard of ormeasco grapes in Gazzo d'Arroscia. This wine, which originates from a plot now converted to organic farming, will not bear the Vis Amoris label but rather that of the "Famiglia Tozzi." As a final note, unfortunately, the severe drought in 2022 halved production volumes. The Sogno '21 offers up pleasant spiciness of oak and soft aromas of ripe fruit, coming through sapid and intense on the palate. The Metodo Classico Pas Dosé has a persistent hint of toasted bread, enriched by aromas of acacia and jasmine; refined on the palate, it finishes on a streak of almond. The fresh and pleasant Mafà '22 features notes of cherry and a harmonious structure.
