Vigneto Due Santi
Near Bassano the Po Valley seems to transform into a sort of large amphitheater, enclosed between Lessinia (to the west), Asolano (to the east) and the pre-Alps (to the north). It’s here that we find cousins Stefano and Adriano Zonta, entrepreneurs who have dedicated their lives to viticulture, thanks to an estate that stretches along the southern slope of Brenta, around the town center. Bordeaux red grapes take center stage here, giving rise to a range marked by a full and harmonious profile. Great performance by the Cabernet Due Santi ’18, explosive in its notes of red fruit and spices enlivened by forays of fine herbs and undergrowth. In the mouth it’s the usual prized red, with a generous, consistent and progressive palate. Among the simpler wines we appreciated the aromatic immediacy of the Merlot ’19, a wine that combines pleasantness with character and depth.
