With their wine, Giuseppina, Daniele, and Mirco Venturini represent Valpolicella, a land steeped in tradition and home to centuries-old vineyards. Their estate, supported by terraces and stretching up the hillsides as if seeking a cool breeze, spans just under twenty hectares on the Masua hill. Committed to the region's historic grape varieties, these vineyards form the foundation for a production style that emphasizes aromatic complexity and expansive flavor. Tasting Recioto A Mariasole '12 brings to mind a few decades ago, when this sweet wine was the symbol of the territory. On the nose, one detects cherry compote, enlivened by notes of aromatic herbs and pepper. In the mouth, its sweetness is measured, and the palate unfolds with suppleness and tension towards a crisp, crunchy finish. The Amarone Campomasua '17 is more complex and deep aromatically, while in the mouth it proves rich, powerful, and still quite young.
