Nestled in the San Marco valley near the town of Montefalco, Danilo and Sandra Antonelli manage their winery with fervor and expertise, striving to bottle the essence of their grape's terroir, armed with knowledge inherited from past generations. Alongside native varieties such as sangiovese, sagrantino, and trebbiano spoletino, small plots of merlot and cabernet enrich their five-hectare property. Four distinct wines tell their tale. Two of these stand out for their pleasantness and complexity, earning a place in our final tastings. We're talking about a highly traditional red and characterful white. The first is the Montefalco Rosso Pippinello '20, a graceful and multifaceted wine that plays on sanguine tones and black fruit, while the palate is made fresh by its well-integrated acidity. The second is the Campo de Pico, a 2022 trebbiano spoletino that shines for its sapidity and cleanness. The other wines are also well crafted.
