Wine producer

Tommasi Viticoltori

This large Pedemonte winery is one of Valpolicella's leading producers, bolstered by an estate that now spans 100 hectares in the Classico area (and we shouldn't forget that they have many other vineyards throughout Verona's other appellations, especially Lugana). It's an entirely family-run producer, with 9 cousins covering the most important roles, contributing to overseeing the various stages of production, from cultivation to sales. Their beating heart still lies with Amarone, with Lugana providing a supporting role. The Amarone De Buris grows vintage after vintage, and the 2010 fully confirms the trend. The depth of its aromas, with super-ripe fruit embellished by notes of medicinal herbs and spices, finds greater expressiveness on the palate, where the fresh harvest conferred a crisp profile and nice length. The Lugana Le Fornaci Riserva '18 also impressed. It's a white rich in nuances on the nose, energetic yet elegant on the palate.
