From the ashes of the former Masseria Flocco, Tenimenti Grieco emerged in 2013. This venture is the brainchild of Antonio Grieco, a businessman from Puglia who chose to invest in neighboring Molise. The winery is based in Portocannone, with the Tremiti islands breaking the horizon towards the Adriatic and the Apennines in the background. The vineyards stretch over 85 hectares, showcasing a diverse palette of grapes. Local varieties like montepulciano, falanghina, and tintilia mingle with international grapes, resulting in wines characterized by their crisp fruitiness and delightful flavor. The 200 Metri is a Tintilia that we've always adored. Red flowers and spices, red cherry, raspberries, balsamic whiffs, and Mediterranean scrub: these are the broad and multifaceted aromas of a red that stands out for its simplicity and fragrance, without being mundane. The Bosco delle Guardie is a blend of montepulciano (80%) and aglianico: hints of pencile lead and coffee meld on a palate where oak rounds out a close-knit tannic structure. The other wines presented also deliver.
