A major cooperative winery, Santa Maria La Palma boasts over 650 hectares of vineyards overlooking the sea. These vineyards span breathtaking landscapes, from the Gulf of Alghero to the Bay of Porto Conte. Since its inception in 1956, the producer has continuously evolved and improved, culminating in its high-quality range today. The portfolio is extensive and diverse, ranging from wines for everyday consumption to premium selections made from cannonau, vermentino, and cagnulari, in addition to some unique sparkling wines. The winery chose to submit only specific selections, representing their crown jewels, for tasting. This year, the Redìt, a Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva 2018, is outstanding. Its soft tannins and exemplary freshness make it a smooth and gratifying drink. The Ràfia '22, a Vermentino di Sardegna, is equally splendidrich, sapid, with intricate aromas. The Akènta made from vermentino grapes and the Cagnulari Recònta '19 are also delightful.
