The landscape of San Pietro in Cariano sees flat stretches alternate with the gentle hills that rise up towards Lessinia. Behind the town, where the plains subtly start to ascend, lies a large amphitheater facing south. Here we find Rubinelli Vajol in a central position, surrounded by approximately ten hectares dedicated entirely to the appellation's historic grapes. The winery aims to showcase the finesse that the grapes can offer, forgoing brute strength. The wines of the winery on via Paladon are proving increasingly impressive. After a few years of fine-tuning, it's found its style, perfectly represented by the Valpolicella Superiore '20. Its light color anticipates aromas of wild fruit and spices, with a fresh and stimulating hint of medicinal herbs in the background. In the mouth it leans on a pronounced sapidity that lends fullness and length to a supple palate. The Amarone '16 also expresses these qualities of lightness, resulting in a harmonious, long finish.
