The Pittaro family ("Pitars" in the dialect) hail from a long lineage of winemakers that can be traced back to 1510. Theirs is a small, ancient world, teeming with the authentic values of Friulian tradition. The vineyards, cultivated with meticulous care and yielding low per hectare, stretch generously along the Tagliamento River, on soils rich in limestone-dolomitic material. The new generation, composed of Stefano, Nicola, Jessica, and Judy, is entrusted with ensuring the continuity and prosperity of the well-established family brand. As always, the winery provides us with a diverse sample of wines, including a considerable variety of sparklers and current-vintage, annata whites, but also wines from previous harvests, both reds and whites, resulting from long bottle aging. The overall impression is overwhelmingly positive, and, with a few rare exceptions, the prices are extremely affordable, considering the quality offered.
