For generations, the Pelissero family has been producing Barbaresco in Treiso. Today, the winery is led by Giorgio, who oversees all stages of production. Their five estate vineyards include Augenta, Munfrina, Piani, Tulin, and the renowned Vanotu, situated at about 350 meters elevation, facing south, on calcareous soils. The result is wines of great complexity and aromatic richness. In addition to nebbiolo, they cultivate local varietals like barbera, dolcetto, moscato, and favorita. Staying true to a modern style where clean, fresh fruit is central, Giorgio Pelissero produces magnificent wines using traditional Langhe grape varietals. The Barbaresco Vanotu combines raspberry aromas with hints of sweet spices and tobacco. The palate is structured and tannic yet broad and velvety. The Barbera Piani, with its nuances of mulberry coulis, cocoa, and roasted coffee and its flavorful opulence, perfectly encapsulates the estate's style.
