Pietradefusi is a small town in the province of Avellino where Irpinia almost merges with Benevento. It was here, in Contrada Vertecchia (at over 400 meters above sea level), that 4 young entrepreneurs decided to create their own small winery. A little over 5 hectares of vineyards (in addition to some small, rented plots) are cultivated with great respect for the environmentin fact they're currently being converted to organic. The original range, based only on whites, has been enlarged to include some reds as well. Already last year, we sensed something good happening with their Passo delle Tortorethis edition confirmed our expectations. The wines presented surprised us with their clarity and an ability to express both the variety and the territory. The Greco di Tufo Le Arcaie '20 earns the winery its first Tre Bicchieri thanks to a fruity yet rocky and smoky aromatic profile, and a penetrating, linear and vibrant palate.
