The Moretti Cuseri family ventured into Bolgheri in 2004, driven by their fascination for Bordeaux blends, which they first began exploring at Tenuta Sette Ponti, in Arezzo. Antonio Moretti Cuseri, in concert with his sons Alberto and Amedeo, embarked on this new wine venture, thus founding Orma. Situated between the vineyards of Ornellaia and Sassicaia, the estate has proven ideal for growing cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, and merlot grapes, which form the basis for three wines (the fourth is from another grape that also flourishes in the region, vermentino). L'Orma '21, an elegant blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and franc, opens on the nose with vibrant tones of ripe red and black fruits, then moves to aromatic herbs such as mint and tarragon, rounded out by spicy and vanilla nuances. In the mouth it's harmonious, elegant, vibrant, and refreshing. The Bianco '22, made from vermentino, pleases the nose with its citrus hints of citron and mint, before showcasing a racy, elegant structure.
