Massimo and Roberto Damonte have been influential figures in the Roero scene for several years. The winery utilizes vineyards located primarily in Canale (including some of the area's most renowned crus, such as Mombeltramo, Renesio, Saglietto, and San Michele a Trinità) and primarily cultivates Roero's three classic grapes: arneis, barbera, and nebbiolo. Additionally, they have a vineyard in La Morra dedicated to the production of Barolo. The broad range of wines they offer is distinguished by its typicity and aptitude for aging. Once again, the Roero Renesio Riserva is among the best in the appellation. The 2019 unveils aromas of blackberries and red currants, accompanied by notes of cardamom and curry. Its palate is elegant, featuring fine tannins and a delicate, lingering finish. The Roero S.S. Trinità Riserva 19 is also impressive, exhibiting floral and red fruit tones with hints of white pepper. It's a balanced, consistent, and well-sustained drink. However, the entire range presented exhibits excellent craftsmanship.
