Leonardo Bussoletti's work represents a harmonious union of technique and sentiment. With a dedication to elevating the winemaking tradition of Umbria, his winery (which also offers dining and guest spaces) is not only functional and modern but also beautiful. For his project, Bussoletti has chosen to champion the attributes of Narni, cultivating local varieties like ciliegiolo, leading to flavorful wines that are rich in character. Personality that's especially evident when tasting the Ràmici '20, a wine that goes all in on hardness, acidity first and foremost, but always well integrated, with lean, vibrant substance. The length of the palate proves masterful, finishing on a clean, spicy, almost pungent note. The Brecciaro '21 also delivers, a very young wine that will be nice to taste in a few years, while the pleasantness of the vintage Ciliegiolo, the 05035, is disarming. In terms of the whites, we particularly appreciated the Colle Murello '22.
