Le Vigne di San Pietro
In an area like southern Garda, where producers often measure success according to production volumes, a winery like Carlo Nerozzi’s stands out clearly for the quality of its wines, produced by emphasizing the link between the grape variety and vineyard. The utmost care is shown to details, from maturation times in the cellar to the pursuit of depth (though without betraying the lightness bestowed by the grapes and territory), qualities that constitute the basis for the winery’s limited but charming range. The lineup submitted is dedicated entirely to the red grapes of Bardolino, with our preferences going to the 2019. On the nose cherry sensations and rose prove enriched by nuances of black pepper, which reverberate even further in the mouth where the wine unfolds delicately, revealing a precious sapidity. The CorDeRosa ’20, a fragrant and juicy Chiaretto di Bardolino, also delivered.
