The winery's size allows for respectable production volumes, thanks to a large vineyard that spans Monferrato and Langhe. The greatest international success has come from their Barbaresco, with their Gallina, Starderi and Valeirano cru competing for supremacy, but the Barolo Campè alone has managed to revitalize the Grinzane Cavour area for the production of Nebbiolo. We shouldn't forget that the winery, founded in 1977, was initially dedicated mainly to Moscato and Barbera d'Asti, which it still expertly produces. This year it's the elegant Starderi cru that stands out about the 2017 Barbarescos proposed. On the nose, fresh fruit emerges along with cherries and strawberries. The palate is magnificent for its consistency and pervasiveness, with dense, well-rounded tannins lending complexity. The 2016 Barolo Campè is splendid. Here red berries and elegant oak turn harmoniously together with spices, giving way to bitter cocoa; in the mouth it's voluminous, pulpy, with a pleasantly fresh note.
