The farm is located in the hills of Val di Botte near Montespertoli, overlooking the Val di Pesa and Val d'Elsa, in an area with a long history of wine production. The Bagnoli family, who've owned the property since the 1970s, chose to prioritize the region's native grape varieties, sangiovese and trebbiano, as well as produce oil from moraiolo, leccino, frantoio and madonna dell'impruneta olives, all of which are Tuscan natives. The entire estate is surrounded by a beautiful forest of holm oaks, which inspired its name. The excellent Chianti Superiore '21 opens on a bouquet where notes of blood orange meet wild herbs and cherry. The palate is in tune, with light tannins supporting a fresh and pleasant profile. The Cantagrillo '21, 100% trebbiano, proves buttery and fruity on the nose, unveiling notes of mango, a vibrant body, and beautiful persistence. The Spumante Rubedo '18 stands out for its notes of raspberry and strawberries and a rich, flavorful bodya dynamic and brilliant drink.
