In 2005, Francesca and Luca turned their lifelong dream into reality: to live in the country and produce wine. They discovered an abandoned farmhouse and planted vineyards around the area where the winery, mostly subterranean, would be built. Luca took responsibility for the olive trees and various grape varieties such as sangiovese, vermentino, cabernet franc, syrah, viognier, alicante, and bouschet. Francesca managed promotion and sales. Together, they named the wines after mythological figures who, according to classical tradition, transform into the various trees that grow on these hills. The Cabernet Franc '19 offers up a multifaceted bouquet, with hints of green pepper converging with dark berries accompanied by balsamic hints. In the mouth it opens soft, showing vitality and freshness, with thin tannins and a nice tasty finish. The Bauci '21, made from viognier grapes, features peach and apricot aromas on the nose, mineral hints and basil, while the palate is supple and fresh, round, with a lively and well-sustained sapidity supporting the finish.
