La Dama

Description

Daniele and Miriam Dalcanale's winery may be relatively young, but everything is moving in the right direction. They possess excellent vineyards, a profound understanding of viticulture and enology, and, notably, a clear vision of Valpolicella and its wines. The vineyard spans about ten hectares, stretching between the valleys of Negrar and the western boundary of the of Valpolicella Classica, where the vines overlook the Valdadige, caressed by the breezes that flow down from it. Their production style emphasizes the deep connection between historic grape varieties, the land and its traditions. From the Ca' Besi vineyard, near the winery, comes a Valpolicella '20 of great elegance, adorned with wild fruit and earthy notes, introducing a substantive palate where acidity and tannins play leading roles, lending tension and juiciness. The Amarone '19, however, opts for a more complex and profound profile, though the interpretation remains the same, making for notable gustatory dynamism and elegance.
