Roncal's owner, Martina Moreale, also fulfills various roles across the entire production chain. With courage and determination, she quickly completed the project initiated by her late husband Roberto Zorzettig, who died prematurely in 2006, completing the construction of a new cellar that, together with the manor house, overlooks the hill of Montebello. From here, visitors can enjoy a beautiful view that extends to the horizon, enriched by the surrounding vegetation and woods that frame the geometric shapes of the vineyards. The overall performance of their range is proving increasingly convincing, with reds of impact and personality alongside whites of great fragrance and drinkability. This year, the Schioppettino '20 takes the top spot, unleashing aromas of violet, raspberry syrup, rhubarb, cigar tobacco, and black pepper, while on the palate, it flows smoothly, marked by lively yet understated tannins.
