Montello is an unusual landform located north of Treviso. It's not quite a mountain, yet not simply a hill either; it resembles an elongated panettone stretching between Nervesa and Crocetta, framed to the north by the Piave River and to the south by expansive plains. The area, where sinkholes and karstic phenomena abound, provides a nurturing environment for vines. Ida Agnoletti, who owns several hectares, primarily dedicated to Bordeaux varietals, stands out as one of the appellation's most notable vintners. Her fragrant and vibrant wines reflect the robust character of the land. The Seneca 19, a Bordeaux blend of mostly merlot, expresses a significant fruity component, mature and accompanied by medicinal and spicy notes. On the palate, it doesn't strike for power but rather for its depth and tension, coming through long and rigorous on the finish. The Merlot La Ida '21, on the other hand, offers up a sweeter fruit aromas and a palate that stands out for its juiciness and immense pleasure.
