The winery managed for many years by Anna Muzzolini, who's today assisted by her children Mattia and Giulia, is based in Albana di Prepotto, in an ancient 18th-century residence. The splendid stone walls of the building's basement, now brought to light, host the cellar where wines mature in oak barrels. The vineyards, on the other hand, unfold in the splendid valley crossed by the Judrio, the river that borders the Collio, an area crossed by relatively cool winds which keep the grapes dry and create a particularly favorable microclimate for their full ripening. Once again the Sauvignon '20 leads the rankings and for the fourth consecutive year it earned a place in our final round of tastings. Aromas of tropical fruit combine with wild flowers and medicinal herbsthe palate is pervasive, plush and fragrant. The Friulano '21 is just as good, opening on white flowers, citrus fruits and white-fleshed fruits, while the palate proves balanced and particularly pleasant.
