Review

We could say that Graziano Prà’s winery is made up of colors, white and red grapes, dark and light soils, and the green of their organically cultivated vineyards, a chromatic universe that immediately points up a strong bond with nature. The original vineyards, which unfold on the volcanic Monte Grande, are today flanked by plots on Monte Bisson (a hill that rises up from the Cazzano plains) and their higher Morandina estate, where Valpolicella’s traditional grapes grow caressed by the breezes. Only whites were presented this year, three Soaves that tell three different stories. The Otto ’20 reflects the sunny, wild hills of the Classico zone, with immediately expressive aromas and gustatory suppleness. The Monte Grande ’19 features the complexity that comes with aging, wrought of dried flowers, citrus fruits and a harmonious palate. The Staforte ’19, on the other hand, explores the deeper, more multifaceted side of Soave, slow but unstoppable, supported by sapidity and a juicy, vital acidity.
