Lorenzo and his son Simone have been instrumental in the winery's recent growth. Their approach emphasizes sustainability and a minimally-invasive approach in the vineyard, where they draw primarily on sulfur and copper-based products, and don't use herbicides or pesticides. The region's classic grapes are cultivated in the ancient ecclesiastical estates of Giachini and Rocche dell'Annunziata and in the geographical indications of Cerretta, Conca, and Gattera. Their portfolio includes six Barolos, Langhe Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Barbera d'Alba. The Barolo Giachini 19 offers up a dusting of sweet spices, revealing a palate that's rich and full-bodied, with elegant, close-knit, and pervasive tannins, culminating in a very long finish. The Barolo Gattera 19 stands out with its hints of hay and red fruit, exhibiting nice finesse and complexity. Supple on the palate with well-integrated tannins, it boasts a significant richness of fruit before a long and harmonious finish.
