In a region where vineyards are cultivated by a veritable army of growers and large sparkling wine producers often don't own their own plots, Francesco Drusian's winery stands out as a delightful exception. Established in the late 1980s, it boasts an expansive estate that reaches into some of the best positions in the appellation. This allows for an exceptional range that sees wines differentiated not only by sugar residue but also by production area. The Cartizze put in a great performance, unveiling its sunnier and most captivating spirit, playing on tones of ripe yellow fruit and flowers. A creamy palate of notable length follows. The Rive di Colfosco '22, a Brut from a single, airy vineyard in Conegliano surrounded by woodlands, conjures up crisp, juicy white fruit, while on the palate, the wine reveals vigor and robust flavor.
