Donatella Cinelli Colombini, a woman of profound intellect and one of the region's most esteemed producers, is a dynamo of energy. She always takes the lead, both in the winery and in all the other activities in which she engages, from "Le Donne del Vino" to "Cantine Aperte" or the "Movimento Turismo del Vino", associations of which she is founder and president. Assisting her in the winery is her equally skilled and dynamic daughter, Violante Gardini. There are two production areas: one on the northern side of Montalcino, where she produces the area's classic wines, the other in Trequanda, with Fattoria del Colle and its beautiful wine resort. The Brunello '18 pours a beautiful, bright ruby color with garnet highlights, anticipating aromas of fresh red fruit, spices, and undergrowth. In the mouth it's close-knit, with well-extracted tannins, its fruit clearly defined by acidity and perfect nose-palate symmetry. The Rosso '21 opts for a pervasive nose with fruity, floral, and red citrus tonesa fresh drink, juicy, and tantalizing.
